Connecting Your Own Domain to Your Help Center

Connect your help center to your company's existing domain to give it a custom URL. Your help center then becomes a subdomain of your company's root domain.
What this means:
If your domain is mydomain.com, you can connect your help center to any subdomain of mydomain.com. For example, you could connect it to help.mydomain.com, support.mydomain.com, or any other subdomain of your root domain.

Your default help center URLs

Your help center's default URL redirects to your subdomain once you've connected it.

By default, your help center is a subdomain of wixanswers.com with the following structure {account-name}.wixanswers.com

If you add other brands to your account, their default help center URLs have the following structure: {account-name}-{brand-name}.wixanswers.com

Connecting help centers of additional brands

Note:
Adding other brands to your help center is not yet available in all Wix Answers accounts.
If you have multiple brands, you can connect each brand's help center to a different domain, or a different subdomain of the same domain. View the chart below for examples:
Connection Type
1st Brand
2nd Brand
Each brand's help center connected to a different domain
support.bite2go.biz/kb/en
support.bite4here.biz/kb/en
Each brand's help center connected to a different subdomain under the same domain
restaurants.bite2go.biz/kb/en
drivers.bite2go.biz/kb/en

Step 1 | Create a CNAME record for the subdomain

First, you'll need to add a CNAME to your domain's DNS records. The CNAME's Host / Name value must match the subdomain you want to use in your help center's URL.
Important:
It may take up to 24 hours for this DNS change to propagate. The record must be propagated before you can proceed to the next step. Learn more about DNS propagation.

Step 2 | Add your domain to your Wix Answers account

Once the CNAME record has propagated, add the subdomain (e.g. support) and the root domain (e.g. mydomain.com) in your help center's Domain & SEO settings.
Important:
If you unlink / disconnect your help center from your domain, the following occurs:
  • You help center and all its pages will no longer load on the previously connected subdomain of your company's domain (e.g. support.mydomain.com/kb/en/contact). This means old links to your help center contents (e.g. contact page, articles, categories) will no longer work.
  • Your help center's SEO ranking may be negatively impacted due to links no longer working.
  • You help center will continue to be live at your Wix Answers URL (e.g. accountname.wixanswers.com).
