Roles & Permissions

Wix Answers offers three possible team member roles:
  • Agent: Can perform any action in an article and ticket. This is the default role for new team members.
  • Admin: Can perform all actions that an agent can perform, in addition to managing team members, Help Center settings, accessing Insights, and upgrading Wix Answers. 
  • Owner: Can perform all actions in an account and is considered an admin. Only the owner can transfer ownership to another team member or request to close an account.  

Agents and Admins have the following permissions:

Adding Team Members to Your Account

Add members to your team to help you manage knowledge base articles, answer tickets and chats, and provide phone support. Wix Answers offers 3 possible team member roles:Agent: Can perform any action in an article and ticket. Changing a Team Member's Role

Team members can perform different actions depending on their assigned roles. Important:You must be an admin to change your team members' roles.To change a team member's role:Hover over Settings  and click Team Members.Hover over the relevant team member and click the Show More icon .Select an option:Make Admin: Changes the team members role to an admin.Make Agent: Changes the team members role to an agent.Make Owner: Changes the team members role to the owner. Note:Only the owner can transfer account ownership to another team member or request to close an account.  Click here to see a complete list of team member roles and permissions.

Changing Account Ownership

A Wix Answers account can have only one owner at a time. As the owner of your Wix Answers account, you're the only team member that can transfer ownership to someone else, in which case you become an admin.To transfer account ownership to another team member:Hover over Settings  and click Team Members.Hover over the relevant team member and click the Show More icon .Click Make Owner. Type Transfer and click Transfer Ownership. Note: Make sure to capitalize the 'T' in 'Transfer'. Note:Account owners are the only team members that can request to close an account.

Removing a Team Member

If you no longer want a team member to have access to your Wix Answers account, remove them.To remove a team member:Click the Invite Team Members icon in the side panel.Hover over the relevant team member and click the Show More icon .Click Remove.Important:You must be an admin to remove team members.
