Your Help Center's URL

When you sign up to Wix Answers, you automatically get a URL for your Help Center. The format of your Wix Answers URL is businessname.wixanswers.com.
View your Help Center's URL:
Click Settings, then Domain & SEO.
To change your Help Center's URL, upgrade to a Wix Answers Premium Plan then follow the instructions below to connect your domain. 

Connecting an external domain:

If you own a domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) you can change your Help Center URL to a subdomain of your domain (e.g., help.yourdomain.com). Click here to learn how. 

Connecting a domain managed by Wix:

If you own a domain managed by Wix, you can change your Help Center URL to a subdomain of your domain directly from your Wix account. Click here for step-by-step instructions.

Connecting Your Own Domain to Your Help Center

Give your Wix Answers Help Center a more professional URL by connecting it to your existing company's domain as a subdomain. For example, if your company's domain is mycompany.com your Help Center URL would be help.mycompany.com or any other subdomain you prefer. By default, your Wix Answers Help Center is a subdomain of wixanswers.com so your URL is structured: <mycompany>.wixanswers.com. To connect your Help Center as a subdomain of your existing domain, follow the steps below: ImportantIf your domain was purchased from Wix or connected to Wix via name servers, click here for directions. To connect your own domain:Step 1 | Add the CNAME record in your domain host accountSign in to your domain host account.Navigate to the DNS management section.Locate the CNAME records for the relevant domain:If you already have a CNAME record for the subdomain you're connecting, click the option to edit the existing record. If you don't already have a CNAME record for the subdomain you're connecting, click the option to add a new CNAME record.Enter the subdomain for your Help Center in the host field (e.g., help in the example: help.yourdomain.com). Enter hosted.wixanswers.com in the 'Points to' field.Save your DNS changes.Important:It may take up to 24 hours for the DNS change to propagate. The record must be propagated before you can proceed to the next step. Connecting Your Domain Managed by Wix

Connect your company's existing domain to your Wix Answers Help Center for a more professional looking URL. For example, your Help Center's URL could be help.mycompany.com if your current domain were mycompany.com.Important:If your domain isn't connected to Wix via name servers, your domain host controls your CNAME records and you must edit your DNS records with them. Click here for instructions. Step 1 | Add the CNAME Record in Your Wix AccountSign in to your Wix account. Go to the My Domains page.Note: If you have more than one domain in your account, select the relevant domain. Click the Advanced tab.Click Edit DNS.Navigate to the CNAME records for the relevant domain:If you don't already have a CNAME record for the subdomain you're connecting, click + Add another.If you already have a CNAME record for the subdomain you're connecting, edit the existing record. Enter the subdomain for your Help Center in the host field (e.g. help in the example: help.yourdomain.com). Enter hosted.wixanswers.com in the Points to field.Note: Leave the TTL set to 1 Hour and disregard the value shown in Wix Answers. Click Save DNS.Important:It may take up to 24 hours for the DNS change to propagate.
