The Wix Answers Jira Add-On

The Wix Answers Jira Add-On enables you to view tickets associated with a Jira issue directly in Jira. In addition, use the add-on to add internal notes to tickets while you remain in Jira, or click through to the relevant tickets in Wix Answers.
Important:
The Wix Answers Add-On is supported for Jira Cloud (on demand) and Jira Server (on premise). The instructions on this page are relevant for Jira Cloud, only. For Jira Server, please contact Wix Answers support for assistance.
Connect Your Jira Account to Wix Answers
Before you begin, make sure to connect your Jira account. 

Installing the Add-On

  1. Install the add-on.
  2. In Jira, configure the add-on to a project. We suggest that you set the height to 500px, and set the add-on to display on the right side of the page.
  3. Add a Jira Iframe URL:
    1. Open the Jira integration settings and run this script in the Google Chrome console:
      intUrl = document.querySelector('.integration-iframe').src; copy(intUrl.replace('/settings', '/jira-iframe') + '&issueId={jira.issue.id}&issueKey={jira.issue.key}');
    2. This script generates and copies the IFrame URL to the clipboard. Paste the URL into the field IFrame URL Template.
To view a ticket in Jira:
  1. In Wix Answers, link a ticket to a Jira issue.
  2. Open the issue in Jira.
  3. Click Open IFrame to view the related ticket(s).

Working With the Add-On

The IFrame displays information about tickets related to this Jira issue, including (depending on what you have configured):
  • Subject
  • Status
  • Locale
  • Priority
  • Assignee
  • User name
  • Channel
  • Creation Date
  • Last Replied Date
  • Company
Click a ticket subject to open a ticket within the Wix Answer app.

You can add an internal note to all tickets without leaving Jira:
  1. Click Add Internal Note to all linked tickets. A text box appears.
  2. Enter the note in the text box and click Add Note. The note appears in Wix Answers in all linked tickets.
