Troubleshooting Formatted Text Pasted into the Content Editor

The most common problems with formatted text occur when formatting silently carries over from the source of the copied text. If you're experiencing issues with text that was copied and pasted into the Content Editor, try pasting without formatting.

To copy and paste without formatting:

  1. Highlight the text from its original source.
  2. Copy the text:
    • Press Ctrl + C (on a PC)
    • Press Command + C (on a Mac)
  3. Open the Content Editor of the relevant article and click inside a text content block.
  4. Paste without formatting:
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + V (on a PC)
    • Press Command + Shift + V (on a Mac)
Tip:
Once you've removed the formatting from your text's previous source, re-format your text using the Content Editor.
