Wix Answers provides you with all the tools you need to localize (translate) your Help Center content. Add languages any time, then localize your Help Center settings, categories, and articles. When you're ready, enable the languages to make them available to customers around the world.

Step 1 | Add Supported Languages

When signing up for a Wix Answers account, you choose a primary language. You can add more languages at any time. Click here to see the list of languages Wix Answers supports.

In the Wix Answers app, go to Settings > Account > Time & Languages.
Click Add Language under Supported Languages.
Select the language you'd like to add.
Click Add Language.

Step 2 | Localize Your Help Center Settings

Once you've added languages to your account, you can start editing each language's Help Center settings. Translate your Help Center from the following settings tabs: Structure & Content, Branding, Contact Options, and Advanced.

In the Wix Answers app, go to Settings > Support Channels > Help Center.
Click the Language drop-down and select the language you'd like to customize.
Click the Currently editing drop-down and edit each section. Click below to learn how to customize each page:
- Home Page: The main page of your help center.
- Categories Pages: This includes your Category List, Subcategory List, and Category (Article List) pages.
- Article Types: This includes your Informative Article, Feature Request, and Known Issue pages
- Customer Portal: This includes your Followed Articles, Support Request List, and Support Request Page.
- Contact Page: The page that includes your help center's contact form.
- Header: The top bar of your help center.
- Footer: The bottom bar of your help center.
Click the Branding tab at the top.
Click the Language drop-down and select the language you'd like to brand.
Edit your Brand Images, Brand Colors, and Brand Text Style. Learn More
Click the Contact Options tab at the top.
Select the relevant language next to Contact Options in.
Edit your Contact Options.
Click the Advanced tab at the top.
Click the Show More icon next to the relevant language and select Customize Text.
Translate each Text field.
Note: Use the Search field to locate specific text strings or keys.
Click Save.
Repeat these steps for each language.

Step 3 | Localize Your Categories

Categories you create in your primary language are automatically added to your localized Knowledge Base. Make sure to localize your categories before publishing your articles.

Hover over the Knowledge Base icon in the side panel and click Categories.
Select the relevant language.
Hover over the relevant category and click the Show More icon .
Click Rename and enter a translated name for your category.
Click Save.

Step 4 | Localize Your Articles

Wix Answers provides a simple to use system which allows you to create and manage all of your localization tasks.

Once an article is ready to be localized you can create a translation task.

Note: You can send translation tasks from an article's Content Editor in your default language only. Make sure to create new articles in your default language if they'll need to be translated.

To send a translation task:

Go to the article's Content Editor in your account's default language.
Click Translations in the footer.
Click Select All or click a language to manually select it.
Click Next.
(Optional) Enter a translation task note to add details about the task and click Next.
Alternatively, you can leave this section blank and click Skip.
Set the task priority level (Low, Normal, High) and click Send to Translation.

Your translators can then open and localize the article.

Show me how to complete a translation task

Go to the article's Content Editor in your account's default language.
Click Translations in the footer.
Hover over the language you're translating the article to and click Open Article.
Click Tasks in the footer to review the translation task(s).
Note: Click the X icon to close the Tasks window.
Translate the article's title.
Copy content from the article's main language using one of the following options:
- Translate all the content: Click Copy Content in the bottom right corner.
- Translate part of the content:
  1. Hover over a content block in the Primary language version on the right and select Click to copy.
  2. In the Localization Content Editor, hover over the left side of a content block and click the Add a block icon .
  3. Select the Paste Block icon .
Translate the article as needed.
Click Tasks in the footer and and select the task.
(Optional) Enter a comment in the field and select Comment.
Click Complete.
Click Save at the top.
When you're ready, click the Save drop-down and select Publish.
(Optional) Select publishing options:
- Notify followers: Send an automatic notification to followers of the article. Learn More
- Update URL: Update the live article's URL (if you've changed the title of the article).
  Note: The old article URL will redirect to the new URL.
Click Publish Article.

Note:

You can send new translation tasks whenever you update articles.

Step 5 | Display the Language in Your Help Center

Enable each language you want to make available in your Help Center from your Advanced tab. New languages are automatically added to your Ticketing System.
