Trigger Actions in Wix Answers on Jira Status Change

Trigger actions in Wix Answers when a Jira issue status changes. You can have have different status changes in Jira automatically trigger different processes in Wix Answers.

This enables support to be updated about Jira issue changes in a timely manner, so that they can update the customers, accordingly.

Before you begin, make sure to connect your Jira account.

To trigger actions in Wix Answers when a Jira issue status changes:

In the Wix Answers app, go to Settings > Tools > Integrations.

Hover over Jira and click Manage.
(If you have multiple Jira projects) Click the Jira project drop-down menu next to You're customizing project: and select your project.

Click Take Action on Status Transition under Take Action on Status Transition.
Perform the following steps: a) Create a new webhook and the actions that the webhook triggers. b) Set a custom post function for the relevant Jira status transition.

Create a new webhook and the actions that the webhook triggers

Click + Generate. The Generate Webhook pane appears.
Enter a unique name for the webhook in the top field, under Name.
To have the webhook add an internal note to tickets associated with the Jira issue, enable the toggle for Add an internal note and add the note in the Note content field.
To have the webhook add labels to tickets associated with the Jira issue, enable the toggle for Set ticket labels and enter/select the labels to add in the Add these labels field.
To have the webhook set the ticket status of tickets associated with the Jira issue, enable the toggle for Set ticket status and select the status in the Add this status field.
To have the webhook send an in-app notification regarding tickets associated with the Jira issue, enable the toggle for Set in-app notification and:
1. Enter/select the team members to notify in the Team Members field.
2. Enter/select the groups of team members to notify in the Groups field.
3. Select whether to notify all ticket participants in the Ticket Participants field.
4. Select whether to notify all assigned team members in the The ticket's assigned team member(s) field.
5. Select whether to notify the manager of the ticket's assigned team members in the The manager of the ticket's assigned team member field.
6. Select whether to mark the notification is urgent by selecting the Send as an urgent notification field.
To have the webhook send an email for the tickets associated with the Jira issue, enable the toggle for Set mail notification and:
1. Enter/select the team members to notify in the Team Members field.
2. Enter/select the groups of team members to notify in the Groups field.
3. Select whether to notify all ticket participants in the Ticket Participants field.
4. Select whether to notify all assigned team members in the The ticket's assigned team member(s) field.
5. Select whether to notify the manager of the ticket's assigned team members in the The manager of the ticket's assigned team member field.
Click Generate. The webhook is added to the Webhooks List pane.
Copy the URL of the new webhook in this pane: click the URL in the URL column.
Click Done.
Use the copied URL to register a webhook in Jira.
