Tutorial: Adding Text to Email Templates

Add text to your notification emails to match your brand and personalize your customer's experience. Follow the tutorial below for a step-by-step guide to adding text to your email templates.  

In the example below, we'll add a ticket number to the email customers receive when they submit a new ticket.

Step 1 | Copy & Paste the Code of Your Email Template

First, copy the HTML code of the email template you'd like to edit. Then paste it into an HTML editing program such as codepen.io/pen/ where you can easily update the code.

Step 2 | Create New Lines of Code for Your Text

Next, determine where you want to add text. Then duplicate the code that appears before the text you're adding. 

Step 3 | Edit the Text

Next, update the text in the code you've duplicated to customize your email template.  

Step 4 | Copy & Paste the Code into Your Email Template

Last, copy and paste the code you've been working on back into the email template in your Wix Answers Account.
