Deactivating Knowledge Base Pages in Your Help Center
Important:
This feature is not yet available in all Wix Answers accounts. Contact us if you would like to add it to your account.
You can deactivate Knowledge Base pages to remove your help center's home page, categories, and articles from the web. While your Knowledge Base pages are deactivated, you can still work on customizing your help center and all its pages.
When you deactivate Knowledge Base pages:
- Your help center's home page, categories, and articles will no longer be accessible to visitors. Team members will still be able to edit your help center from the Wix Answers app.
- Search engines will no longer be able to crawl these pages. As a result, your help center may lose its existing SEO rankings.
- If Ticketing pages are activated, users and team members will be directed to the Customer Portal when they log in.
- Your Knowledge Base pages are turned off in all your help center's supported languages.
To deactivate Knowledge Base pages:
- In the Wix Answers app, go to Settings > Support Channels > Help Center.
- Click the toggle next to Knowledge Base pages are Active.
Note: If you have multiple brands, click the toggle in the relevant brand.
- Click Deactivate Knowledge Base Pages to confirm.
Note:
Click the toggle next to Knowledge Base pages are Inactive to reactivate Knowledge base pages in all your help center's supported languages.
Tip:
You can also deactivate your Knowledge Base pages from your help center settings. Click the Currently editing drop-down, then click the toggle next to Knowledge Base Pages to deactivate them.
